Jennifer Garner is adored by many because she comes across as relatable and friendly. On her Instagram, she shares lots of heartwarming posts about motherhood and the ups and downs of everyday life.
Jennifer Garner’s mother is Patricia English Garner. When she was young, Patricia had many fond memories of growing up on a farm in Locust Grove, Oklahoma.
She remembers how her parents purchased the plot of land that has remained in their family for many years. They bought it in 1936 using a bonus her father earned from serving in World War I.
The family had just $700 to buy the land back then. She remembers how her veteran parents didn’t even own a car when they purchased the land. They had to pay someone to drive them to the property.
Patricia mentioned that her parents didn’t own a car, so they arranged for transportation to visit the land for sale. The property included a small two-room house and 20 acres of land, with one acre being a Native American cemetery.
My mother shared with me the tale of how Dad spent the entire day haggling over $20, leaning back on his heels. After they eventually reached an agreement on the price, the deal was finalized, and our family has owned the land ever since,” she concluded.
Throughout the years, as everyone matured and relocated, the farm didn’t have a single owner. It continuously changed hands among family members through multiple buying and selling transactions. Eventually, in 2017, Jennifer Garner made the decision to acquire the farm for herself.
She bought the farm not only for sentimental reasons but also with the goal of making it a successful business once more. She enlisted the help of her uncle Robert and aunt Janet, who had experience owning the farm in the past.
The farm had been planted and cared for 40 years ago. Her mother and siblings used to be passionate farmers who sold pecans and grew lettuce, radishes, and potatoes.
Jennifer aimed to revive that concept by creating “Once Upon a Farm” alongside Ari Raz, John Foraker, and Cassandra Curtis. Their goal was to cultivate organic produce that could be turned into healthy meals for kids.
She mentioned that she had been envisioning the project for some time. In the past, we had aspirations of reintroducing baby food to its origins by using organic fruits and vegetables sourced from local farmers. We wanted to blend them with care and serve them fresh from the refrigerator. Our dream was to alleviate the stress associated with mealtimes by providing our little ones with nutritious food that exceeded their nutritional requirements.
Jennifer believes that providing busy mothers with access to healthy food is a priority for her.
The business began in 2018 and has achieved great success. Their items are available in top American stores and can also be purchased on their website.
