2 steak filets, used NY strip
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper/O MINUTES
2 tosp olive oil
2 top butter
6 cloves of garlic
6 sprigs of thyme
Let the steak come to room temp for about 20 minutes. Pat the steak dry. Season both sides with salt & pepper. Heat skillet over medium heat. Then add the oil (after the pan is hot). Place the steak in the skillet, cook for 2 mins, flip & cook for another 2 mins. Flip again, reduce the heat to low & add butter, garlic & thyme. Baste for 4 mins. Remove the steak when they reach your desired doneness. If you press on it, you’ll be able to
feel how done they are (cheek = rare, chin =
